Seasoned chef brings fresh talent and 15 years of experience to the culinary program at Green Bay’s first luxury hotel
KOHLER, Wis. — September 7, 2017 – Kohler Co. is pleased to announce the appointment of Chef Joey Kolenc as head chef of the recently opened AAA Four-Diamond LODGE KOHLER, the prime hotel of Green Bay Packer’s Titletown. Kolenc boasts more than 15 years of culinary experience across a wide range of dining establishments, and will lead the property’s featured restaurant, Taverne in the Sky, which promises the finest in modern rotisserie cuisine.

Prior to his appointment, Kolenc most recently served as executive sous’ chef at El Chorro in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Over the course of his three-year term, he managed and motivated a highly talented culinary team and held the responsibilities of budgeting, purchasing, reducing waste and effectively adapting menus based on guest preferences and satisfaction. Before his time at El Chorro, Kolenc also served as a sous chef at The Greenhouse (Fox Restaurant Concepts) in Phoenix, AZ and Marcella’s (Cameron Mitchell Restaurants) in Scottsdale, AZ. His first foray into the KOHLER brand began in 2007, when he worked as a cook at the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond, The American Club.

There are six treatment rooms, three finishing stations, a hair salon and boutique.
